Exporting a meeting
The two file formats a meeting can be exported as, and what each one includes.
Open a meeting and click the actions icon next to the title. If you're allowed to download the meeting, the menu has two export options.
Export as Markdown (.md)
A .md file with the meeting title as a heading, the date and duration, then whichever of these
sections have content:
- Summary
- Action Items, as a checklist:
[x]for done,[ ]for not, with the assignee in parentheses when one is set - Key Topics, as a bulleted list with each topic's title and description
- Transcript, grouped by speaker with a timestamp before each block
Export as text (.txt)
The same sections and content as the Markdown export, laid out as plain text with underlined headings instead of Markdown syntax.
What's included and who can export
Both formats pull from what's currently on the page: the summary, action items, and key topics as last saved (including any manual edits), the transcript with whatever speaker names are currently assigned, and the meeting's title, date, and duration. A section that's empty (no summary yet, no transcript) is left out rather than shown blank.
Neither format includes decisions: only the summary, action items, key topics, and transcript. See Decisions for where those live instead.
Anyone who can view a meeting can export it, including someone it was shared with from another organization. There's no separate download permission.
