Decisions

The flat, org-wide log of decisions VoiceCap extracts from your meetings, and how to search, filter, edit, or delete a decision.

Go to Decisions for a flat log of decisions extracted from your meetings, newest first, grouped by month. Every decision links back to the meeting it came from, and the log only ever shows decisions from meetings you can already see. Search follows the same rule.

What each decision shows

  • The decision statement itself, and "edited" next to it if someone has changed the wording since it was extracted.
  • A link to the source meeting's title, and the meeting's date.
  • A badge for each group the source meeting is shared with. A decision from a meeting shared with no group shows no badge.
  • A Context toggle, collapsed by default, when the extraction captured background or reasoning.
  • A timestamp chip linking to the moment in the recording, when one was found.

Filtering and searching

The chips above the list (All, one per group, and Ungrouped) narrow the log to decisions from meetings in that group. The Search decisions... box matches against the decision text, its context, and the source meeting's title. Both narrow the same list, and the count under the chips updates to match.

Only 8 decisions load at a time. A button below the list, labeled with how many are left to load (for example Load 8 more), brings in the next batch of whatever is currently filtered.

Editing and deleting

Anyone who isn't a Viewer gets an overflow menu on each decision, with Edit and Delete.

Edit opens a dialog with two fields: Decision (the statement) and Context. The source meeting, date, and groups aren't editable here. They stay tied to the original conversation. Editing updates the wording search matches; the old wording stops being findable once you save.

Delete asks "Delete this decision?" and warns it's permanent. Deleting removes it from the log and from search. It does not touch the meeting or its transcript.

There's no way to add a decision by hand: every row comes from a meeting VoiceCap has processed, and a decision only exists if the source meeting still does. Each meeting's own page also shows the decisions extracted from it, with the same Edit and Delete controls.
