Email verification
Why VoiceCap asks you to verify your email, what it unlocks, and what to do if the message never arrives.
VoiceCap sends a verification link when you sign up. You don't have to click it to sign in and start using the app, but a few things do depend on it:
- Domain auto-join only attaches you to an organization automatically once your email is verified. Until then, your signup sits as a pending request waiting for an Owner or Admin.
- Creating your own organization with the Create Workspace button requires a verified email first.
- Meetings shared with your email address before you had an account only show up once you've verified. If a colleague shared something with you ahead of your first login, this is why it's not there yet.
Resending the email
- Go to the Check your email page (you land here right after signing up, or whenever something above is waiting on verification).
- Click Resend verification email.
You can resend up to 3 times an hour. VoiceCap also caps how many verification emails go to the same address in an hour regardless of what triggered them; past that cap, it still tells you a new email is on its way without actually sending one, so waiting a few minutes between attempts gets you further than clicking repeatedly.
The link itself expires in 1 hour.
If the email doesn't arrive
Check your spam folder first. If it's not there after a few minutes, use Resend verification email again rather than requesting several in a row.
